Dr. Soo-Woo Kim is a Board Certified Periodontist. He is currently holding a lecturer position at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Tufts School of Dental Medicine. He previously served as a Program Director of Pre-doctoral Periodontology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed his periodontology training and Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in oral biology from the same institution. He also has a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Dr. Kim is a recipient of the Outstanding Young Mentors Award & Dean’s Community Service Award from Harvard Medical School. He was selected as a presidential scholar from Harvard University and is a past recipient of AAP Educator Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and Young Investigator Award from the International Association of Dental Research.
He is a diplomate of American Academy of Periodontology. He provides wide range of periodontal procedures from classical treatments to contemporary treatments, including implants (all on four or six full arch restorations, computer guided surgery, etc.), hard and soft tissue grafting with regenerative materials, and much more.
He has been very active in community outreach projects to Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominica Republic, and Haiti. He built a fully functional dental clinic for short term mission trips in Haiti. He is involved in implementing a mobile clinic concept in rural parts of Haiti.
